Bryan is a civil engineer who works in the field of transportation safety research. He obtained his BS and MS degrees from Virginia Tech in Civil Engineering. He is currently working on his PhD from Virginia Tech and hopes to start teaching introductory transportation engineering courses and continuing his research once he finishes. Bryan was born in Somerville, New Jersey but grew up in Haymarket, Virginia. Bryan works for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) on contract with the Federal Highway Administration doing Traffic Control Device research (with a focus on highway signs and markings research). He is a registered Professional Engineer and is certified as a Professional Transportation Operations Engineer and has written several papers and given presentations on several projects dealing with transportation engineering. In his free time, he is a volunteer with the Fairfax County Police Department and he loves traveling, particularly in his motorhome with his soon-to-be wife, Katie. Page last updated May 21, 2006
